MOIS program helps students make career and education decisions

The MOIS CD is a software career information system that is loaded on individual computers or a network of computers. The MOIS CD helps students make career and education decisions using a four-step model (assessment, exploration, decision making and career planning) to:

  • Discover interests and abilities
  • Explore careers and education options
  • Set goals and make decisions
  • Use EDP to plan for the future

These steps include assessments, career briefs, postsecondary school information and a college scholarship database.

Online EDPs
Students can complete and save EDPs on the MOIS CD. The MOIS CD also aid in meeting or exceeding state guidelines:
  • Exceed the guidelines for the Michigan Career Preparation System
  • Meet Education Yes! requirements for EDPs
  • Aid in meeting Annual Yearly Progress
  • Allow for parental endorsement

How to access the MOIS CD
The MOIS CD is licensed to schools annually. To give your students access to this exciting career planning tool, your school must have a current MOIS CD license agreement with Michigan Virtual University. To verify your school's license status, please call our Help Desk toll-free at 888.889.2840.

Schools Only
Download the K-12 school license (PDF) agreement for use by middle and high school students. (Note: This license agreement is for the purchase of the MOIS CD only. Your middle and high school students can use the myDreamExplorer.org website at no cost.)

All Others
