Self-evaluations assist students in making appropriate course selections
There are levels of language proficiency that are required in order to enroll in the MVS Chinese 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B courses. To better determine the appropriate course and level for students who have some proficiency in speaking and understanding Mandarin Chinese, the Confucius Institute at Michigan State University has created five Student Readiness Self-Evaluations. These self-evaluations are designed to assist students, parents, counselors and mentors in making appropriate course selections for students.
Upon completion of the self-evaluation, a student should be able to determine their level of proficiency and compare that with the established course prerequisites.
