Student Direct courses always available
Student Direct courses offer a low-cost option for schools looking to provide their students with a high-quality experience combined with ease-in-scheduling and a self-paced approach. Unlike our Flex courses, students can enroll in Student Direct courses at anytime throughout the year. The interactive instruction is provided completely by the software that also supplies students with tools such as calculators and dictionaries. Students can log on at any time from any where and work progressively through the course. The system then tracks and stores the student’s progress. These courses offer:
- Low Cost — At only $109 a seat, this learning option is an affordable decision for any student.
- Open Enrollment — The ability to enroll at any time will accommodate even the most challenging student schedule.
- Self-paced Learning — Students control their pace and progress according to their individual learning styles and needs.
- Completion Timeframe — The 90-day or less completion timeframe lets students get back on track fast.
- Low Technology Requirements — Platform independent with a web-delivered format that allows students to bookmark progress.
Student Direct courses require a mentor provided by the school. This mentor must be a Certified Michigan Teacher who is employed by the school district. This mentor is the official Teacher of Record for your district and will monitor the student’s progress in the course. Students are expected to complete the 120-day course once they have enrolled. However, they may withdraw during the first 10 days of the course with a prorated tuition refund. After the 10-day period no tuition refund will occur.
